Summer Camps

Our popular Summer Camps at Graham Creek Nature Preserve are customized programs for age-specific nature exploration and education as an in-depth day camp experience. New camp themes for 2020 are structured for two specific learning experiences: Science and Survival Skills.

Survival CampThe goal of Explorer Day Camp is to promote environmental education, including topics such as Watersheds, Forestry, Weather, Local animal and plant species and many more! Explorer Camp dates for Survival Skills is June 15-19, 2020. Science Camp dates are July  13-17, 2020. Arts & crafts, nature tours, storytimes, environmental education, games & activities, guest speakers, and more! Camp will be held from 8am – 12pm daily for campers going into grades Kindergarten-3rd grade. Cost is $75 per camper and includes a camp t-shirt. Campers should bring a lunch, water, sunscreen and bug spray each day. Camp registration is due by May 11, 2020 for the Survival Skills option or by June 8, 2020 for Science Camp. Science Camp 2020The goal of Pioneer Day Camp is to promote environmental education by including topics such as Water Quality, Forestry, Species Identification, Meteorology, Wetland Ecology, Mapping and much more. Pioneer Camp dates for the Survival Skills session is June 8-12, 2020 and July 6-10 for Science Camp. Archery, hiking, water quality testing, conservation projects, nature photography & field observations, environmental education, disc golf, geocaching, and more! Camp will be held from 8am – 12:30 pm daily for campers going into grades 4th-8th. Cost is $100 per camper and includes wilderness survival essentials and t-shirt. Campers should bring a lunch, water, sunscreen and bug spray each day. Camp registration is due by May 11, 2020 for the Survival Skills session and by June 8, 2020 for Science Camp and is limited to 15 campers.
