Nature Trails

Graham Creek Nature Preserve contains numerous unpaved, rustic nature trails designed for hikers, off-road cyclists, and wildlife watchers. Preserve guests can also view the headwaters of Graham Creek and the memorial tree grove by utilizing the ADA-compliant trail and wetland boardwalk near the Interpretive Center.

Archery Park

Youth and Adult archery ranges split by shooting tower; Archers must follow all posted rules and requirements. Horseshoe Pits, Swings and outdoor grill are all located near Pavilion.

Disc Golf Courses

The Preserve now features THREE Full 18-basket disc golf courses with novice and amateur concrete tee pads. The Amateur Course (Prairie Course) may be best suited for beginners. Starts just east of the Interpretive Center; Course loops along wood line north of Graham Creek, past outdoor classroom and pavilion area, and ending south of Interpretive Center.  

Canoe/Kayak Launch

Preserve guests have free use of the kayak launch fit with a fixed ramp and a floating dock located at the end of Stan Mahoney Lane (east entrance to Graham Creek Nature Preserve). Any non-motorized vessel can be launched during daylight hours. 

Guided Recreation Events

Throughout the year, Graham Creek Nature Preserve hosts a variety of guided recreation events. These special offerings combine exploration with exercise. Including are guided kayak tours, our popular ‘Trail Trot’ guided nature hikes, hikes and wagon rides to the pitcher plant bogs and other fun outdoor activities.
