Canoe/Kayak Launch

Preserve guests have free use of the kayak launch fit with a fixed ramp and a floating dock located at the end of Stan Mahoney Lane (east entrance to Graham Creek Nature Preserve). Any non-motorized vessel can be launched during daylight hours. Paddlers can turn east off of the launch to head out to Wolf Bay (~2 miles), Wolf Creek Park’s kayak launch (~4 miles), or any of the creeks and bays within Wolf Bay watershed. All paddlers are encouraged to wear a United States Coast Guard approved personal flotation device and children under the age of 6 years are required by law to do so.

Kayak and canoe rentals are not currently provided by Graham Creek Nature Preserve, but groups of 4-8 people can request a guided paddle out to Wolf Bay (~2 miles). Please contact the City of Foley’s Environmental Department located at Graham Creek Interpretive Center in advance to request scheduling. Guided outdoor recreation is scheduled according to Environmental Department staff availability and weather. Check the Events Calendar for scheduled and upcoming guided outdoor recreation events.
