Observe & Explore at the Preserve
Graham Creek Nature Preserve’s Observe and Explore Days are free events held at the Outdoor Classroom (23460 Wolf Bay Drive). All of these events are held outdoors so in the event of severe weather please check for cancellations.
Observe and Explore events will all follow the same schedule unless it is a holiday themed event (Easter, Halloween, Christmas) or otherwise noted.

O & E days are held the third Saturday and the Wednesday preceding of each month. Activities will start at 10:00 am and end around 11:30 am. The program will begin at 10:00 am with a story that fits the theme. This will be followed by a short lesson with an activity or science experiment. The program will end with a themed craft. Lessons and activities are based on elementary level concepts and skills related to nature. The O&E program is designed to have accompanying adults assist children with the activities.
While we would love to accommodate large groups due to resources and staffing, we can only serve families during these scheduled events. If you have a large group interested in an observe and explore day, please contact the Interpretive Center office at 251-923-4267 and we will do our best to schedule a time that will fit your needs.
