Summer Camps

Our popular Summer Camps at Graham Creek Nature Preserve are customized programs for age-specific nature exploration and education as an in-depth day camp experience. Scroll this page to find the schedule and information for our 2018 Summer Camps.

The goal of Explorer Day Camp is to promote environmental education, including topics such as Watersheds, Forestry, Weather, Local animal and plant species and many more! Explorer Camp Dates: July 9-13, 2018 or July 23-27, 2018. Arts & crafts, nature tours, storytimes, environmental education, games & activities, guest speakers, Mud Day Party and more! Camp will be held from 8am – 12pm daily for campers going into grades Kindergarten-3rd grade. Cost is $75 per camper and includes a camp t-shirt. Campers should bring a lunch, water, sunscreen and bug spray each day. Camp registration is due by July 2, 2018 for the first week option or by July 16, 2018 for the second week option. Camp enrollment is limited to 15 campers per session. The goal of Pioneer Day Camp is to promote environmental education by including topics such as Water Quality, Forestry, Species Identification, Meteorology, Wetland Ecology, Mapping and much more. Pioneer Camp dates: June 25 – 29, 2018. Archery, hiking, water quality testing, conservation projects, nature photography & field observations, environmental education, disc golf, geocaching, Mud Day Party, wagon ride tour and more! Camp will be held from 8am – 1pm daily for campers going into grades 4th-8th. Cost is $100 per camper and includes a disc set and t-shirt. Campers should bring a lunch, water, sunscreen and bug spray each day. Camp registration is due by June 18th, 2018 and is limited to 15 campers. Wilderness Survival Camp is scheduled for July 19-20, 2018. Team building and leadership in an outdoor setting with lessons in primitive shelter craft, water purification techniques and equipment, fire craft, basic first aid and CPR*, orienteering, kayaking, and overview of the 7 Priorities of Survival. Camp will be held 8am-5pm both days with an option to camp out overnight on July 20, 2018 with an adult chaperone for individual campers. Cost is $100 per camper. Campers should bring a lunch, water, notebook, pen, sunscreen and bug spray each day**. Camp registration is due by July 9, 2018. Camp enrollment is limited to 12 campers who are entering grades 9th-12th.
